Got everything I needed, BUT how do I get rid of the popup, that appears every time, the memory is recovered and I do not seem to be able to adjust the memory threshold above 400

Found this pretty little neat tool which just does the job. It offers even more than the mentioned on top. Look it up for yourself. I recommend it.
This app is just doing what such an app should do. Show the necessary information, but not taking up too much space. I still have two things that would make the App perfect for me: - add free/used space per volume + eject button - allow to configure the update interval. Id like to set this to 5-10 seconds for ram/cpu/network. Much longer for the disk checks (if it will come...) Still 5 stars... and a great competitor to iStat Menus, without eating too much space and doing to many checks (like iStat Menus)
This product does as it promises, and does it well. It doesnt use many system resources, and it looks pretty fancy. I like the fact that you can make the icon in the menu-bar monochrome, because I like my Mac looking sleek and sexy. For the price, its a no-brainer. Have not found any issues with it. Would definitely recommend.
I bought this because I needed a memory cleaning tool, only to find out that that the tool is not only inaccurate, but does not opperate like it should. I had to give it a rating of one star, but in all honesty it does not deserve the single star simply because it does not work as intended. The reason why I state this is that I have 8 Gb of RAM in my MacBook Pro and MemoryTool shows that there is a Wired memory amount of 5.5 Gb when Im opperating only 3 simple applications, App Store, iTunes, and System Preferences. I double checked with Activity Monitor if there was anything that was outstanding that could have been running in the background only to find that everything was normal when looking at all the processes. I wanted to double check the memory usage within Activity Monitor to find out that the Wired Memory was only 1Gb. By MemoryTools information, I only have 1.8 Gb available everything else is taken into consideration. Frankly unacceptable. Im sure it would be a great application, but it doesnt work properly and I would like my money back for the purchase, even though it was only $1.99 plus tax, it is not worth that. My appologies to the developer, but this is a warning to those thinking of purchasing this app to wait until there is either an update, or just not waste your time or money.
This app is EXCELLENT!!!!! I can keep an eye on my computer to make sure it doesnt OVER HEAT ! and to make sure I have lots of memory to play with.
Amazing app you can monitor everything CPU temperature memory usage, network status
most useful app for low end mac with low memory. the new update is what I need, cuz the old version always shows the notification window when cleaning the memory, now it is automaticly and silently, it is the feature most of us want!! thanks!!!
This would be (used to be) a really great utility to display info if it reported accurately, but it doesn’t, not in Yosemite (though before Yosemite, it reported reasonably accurately). The status bar display for things like network send/receive and disk read/write values are hard to quickly read (to glance at and get a feel for the current activity) because of a symbol that displays before each number and moves with it. Also now there is this X disaster that is easily clicked beside the quickly changing app names, if you touch it you don’t get a warning, it just end the process, and often crashes your computer or looses your data - there should never be any kind of kill process button in something like this! Yosemite manages memory differently than previous OS, and I’ve found that Yosemite utilizes way more memory (which is good, better to make use of it as dynamic cache than just having it sit there unused) and does have to do cleanup at times, but it does it better than previous OS, and better than this app. Though this app does leave more memory ‘free’ after it’s cleanup, that is kind of counter productive in Yosemite. I’ve also found that using this apps auto clean actually overall makes things slower and causes more and longer ‘stalls’ (because it’s busy cleaning) in Yosemite. Not using this app to either auto or manually clean makes for an overall smoother and faster running system (in Yosemite - previous OS I found this app helped overall, though the ’stalls’ while cleaning were very annoying). If you have Yosemite, the only info of some use is the overall CPU and memory use graphs, though the memory graph is going to be almost always at max (and the graph sections don’t come close to agreeing with Activity Monitor so they are inacurate). This used to be one of my fav utilities years ago, but it’s become less and less accurate, useful and even dangerous and less necessary; maybe if it’s fixed to report accurate info, and some other major changes made (like value display improvement, removing process kill mess, removing music function, etc), it will be a good app again. Until then, I’d suggest other basic info display apps. More Detail: The utility totally misreports memory use (comparted to Apple’s Activity Monitor) and always completely misses apps in its ‘top processes’ (current highest useage) list displays (and I don’t mean system processes, but things like Dropbox, other user utilities, etc) that show accurately in Apple’s Activity Monitor. E.g. The memory list will often only show all highest use apps using well under 90 MB each, yet shows 4+ GB memory in use overall, leaving out the real high use apps (not system processes) that are actually using hundreds of MB. Same totally inaccurate info for the CPU usage list. Things like the network send/receive display should have units AFTER the value (123 MB/s ^), not split before and after (^123MB/s) to make values easy to quickly read. As for the process kill option mess, the process names jump around all the time, how in the world can you even intentionally click a moving ‘X’ to kill the one you want without accidentally killing something else important? This app is struggling to stay up-to-date with current OS, but it isn’t working out so well.
There’s everything it’s supposed to do : live CPU temp, live upload/download rate, real time writing/reading disk speeds at a quick glance in the Menu bar. Its great !
.. all that was asked for that app.
I really like this app which is easy to use. and also very convenient to see whats going on there. and most important, it can help to release more space for memory.
I’m not using the additional functions of the application (memory cleaner, player, etc.) hence I have no opinion on that part. I’m only using the application as status monitor of system resources and it works great in that role. I especially like the function of showing top 4 processes eating most of processor time - if my machine starts heating up and fans reach 6000 RPM I can quickly, with one or two clicks, get to the information of what application is the reason. I bought the program exactly for this particular function and its worth it.
The new version (4.1.) seems to have stopped crashing. It works without any problems. Thanks!
Application is nice, very useful.. but when I insyalled it on my Air - I didnt believe to my eyes.. language was Chinese.. How to switch to English? No way? Frankly speaking when I installed App onto my Macbook Pro - language was English by default. So, one star less for such funny thing… of course, for Chinese that wouldnt be a problem, but for others - it is.
Mac OS X, unfortunately, doesn’t show you the stuff that SystemPal shows on your status bar. Great to have, and it’s in the app store, so I like it!
I guess mac doesnt have HWMonitor so you have to buy an app. For $2, i can see all my temps and what app uses most of the cpu powers. If you need a temp monitor for cheap, this is the one.
This is a great app and for the money can’t be beat. I like the fact taht I can always tell how my RAM is doing and how cluttered it gets. When I first restart my mac there is a lot of green but then as days go by I can see it disapear and with just a couple of clicks I’m able to recover some of that space so my programs run faster. Over the years I’ve purchased new computers for myself or my wife and this is always one of the first apps I download to the new machine.
I was looking for a utility to help diagnose issues with another app. This does the job while not being obtrusive. I can quickly see if I’m running hot, or if something is taking up too much RAM, etc. It’s a totally affordable app and does what it’s supposed to.
I have an older 2009 macbook pro and an iMac and this works great to monitor the cpu temperature and fan speed (very conveniently in task bar). Also great for getting a quick glance at how the cpu and memory usage are faring. For $2 bucks it was a no-brainer.
